Blue Clogs

Here are the blue clogs mid felt. We had problems with our washer backing up on the floor so they didn't get finished. I have to finish all the laundry that has backed up since the washer has been down. I only have 3 more loads to go and I can start the felting process again.

Paige's Felted Clogs (need more felting)

I have the 2nd Easter basket off the needles. It needs to go to the felting pile as well. I am currently working on my Mom's Easter basket, so hopefully it will be in the felting pile soon. I will get some pictures of them soon.

My Mom's basket will have her purple rug in it with a few Eeyore items in it. I hope that she likes it. My in-laws will be a movie basket. We are going to put in a few movies, popcorn, drinks, candy, etc. They both like to watch movies and pretty much have everything that you could think of, so I thought it would be a nice idea for them. Of course I still have to make their basket and get it felted, but hopefully after all the laundry is caught up I will be able to spend a little more time on the knitting.

Splash Rug

This was my first attempt at any type of a knitted rug. I think it turned out well and that my Mom will like it. I made it so that she can put it at the side of her bed and feel the fuzziness between her toes before and after bed every day. :) I know that she LOVES purple so when I saw the yarn I knew that it was for her. I am going to give it to her for Easter, so at least I am ahead of the game with it. Now the rest of my projects we just won't talk about. LOL

Easter Basket #2

I started this one yesterday. I am about 30% of the way through it before it heads to the washer for felting. This one will be for our Niece. I hope that she likes it. Now I need to figure out what I am going to get to put into it.

What do you get for a 14 year old girl? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. :)

2nd Easter Basket Progress

Easter Basket #1

This was my first Moebius basket. I think it turned out really well. I am going to use it for James' Easter this year. I thought that it would be nice to use each year. Heck I don't have to worry about him breaking it or falling on it and hurting him.

I am really excited about Easter this year. I hope that James has a good time hunting eggs.

Well this is 1 out of 6 baskets that I want to make before Easter. They do go fairly fast, but I am going to have to get cracking if I want to get them all finished.

James' Felted Easter Basket

Noro Bag

Here it is. It is completely felted and finished. I really like how it turned out. I especially like the colors of it. I have already been using it and it works really well. It makes me want to go out and make some more felted bags, but I digress. I have too much on the needles right now that I have to finish before I start another new project.

GOLD Baby! GOLD!!

As many of you may know by now I won GOLD at my LYS's own judging. I couldn't believe it!

Thanks to all of you who placed your scores.

For those that have asked me I received a nice clear plastic bag to carry projects and my yarn in and a gift card to Lambikins. I will have no problem spending it, I have quite a few things that I have my eye on. LOL I think it was really nice of Christina to give out gifts to the winners. She is even giving something to everyone that finished in time. How great is that?!

I have yet to find a yarn store that can compete with her customer service, knowledge, store layout, quality and diversity of yarns, the amout of any yarn (you can actually make a sweater not just a scarf) and of course price. If you have never been it is worth the trip.

Whoo Hooo!!! I have Loot!!!

Today I received my first SP7 package!!!!

In it was 2 albums that I can use for pictures and knitting and they are expandable to boot! Mission Falls Wee Knits book. It has some REALLY cute patterns in it. Man I am in trouble, LOL I am going to have to knit fast to get all these cute things done before James grows out of them LOL. Vogue Knitting Quick Ref. Guide. This is going to come in quite handy for me. I have placed it in my knitting bag already to keep with me. Needle threader, this will be nice for those yarns that just don't want to go through that dang eye of the needle, now they will have no choice muahhhh. A really "cool" hand knit snowman wash cloth. I am guessing that my SP made it? Fiddlesticks Knitting Raj Silk. It is so soft and neat looking, I will have to make a trip to my LYS to find a pattern that will fit it. 3 skeins of Mission Falls 1824 Cotton color # 204 dark cream in color and 4 skeins of color # 304 sage in color. My SP said that it was for the cool Graphics pattern in the Wee Knits Book. Avon Naturals antibacterial hand gel vanilla, mmmmmm it smells so good! It has gone in my knitting bag as well. Last but not least I got a sweet little card with a note from my SP.

Thanks So Much SP!!!!!!!!!

SP7 Package

On to my knitting updates. I have finished my first Moebius Easter Basket to the point that it needs to be felted. It was really fun and much easier than I thought that it would be. Of course I will be making more of them for Easter gifts. They go much faster than I thought that they would to. Now it only needs felted.

Take a look. This is James'.

James' Moebius Easter Basket Before Felting

Another thing that I need to send to the washer to get a good felting is my Noro bag. I just finished knitting and weaving in the ends on it last night. I will hopefully get it in the wash some time this weekend. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I really like the colors of it. I think the earth tones look really nice.

Noro Bag Before Felting

On the Knitting Olympic front, we will find out tomorrow who the winners are. I have been told that everyone who finished will get something. I think that is really nice of Christina to do that for everyone. What the prizes are, I don't know yet, I can't wait to find out and see who are on the metal stands. Good luck everyone!

Awesome Deals!

If you haven't already made it to the Lambikin's Hideaway sale you need to get there. She has some awesome deals going right now trying to make room for the new spring yarns that have been coming in. There were people leaving with arm fulls of yarn at great prices. Some of the full bags she has at 1/2 off! She is open until 7 pm tonight and 10 - 5 Tuesday thru Saturday. Saturday is the last day of the sale and things are flying off the shelf. Go check out what she has and see if there are any more of the surprises left. :)

A few of the things that I can remember off the top of my head that are on sale are most of the eyelash and other styles of novelty yarns, Blizzard, Fixation, Margritte Bulky, Cascade 109, some sock yarn, Galaway, 5 Points, many of the ribbon style yarns and much more.

It's a great sale! You don't want to miss it! :)
